If you can find a better commercial, watch it

Okay, so I’ve been putting off this entry for too long now.
What the heck is up with these “If you can find a better car, buy it commercials.”
Am I supposed to recognize who the old guy in them is? Is this tag line supposed to be something I’ve seen before? And what the heck is the point of it? I CAN find better cars than Chrysler’s, and I even bought one. So what is the point of telling me not to buy your crappy cars? I thought you were trying to advertise your new employee discount for everyone thing.
So yeah, anyone know who this old guy is or what previous ad campaign they’re referencing? Leave a comment if you do. 🙂

  1. The old guy is Lee Iacocca. He ran the Chrysler Corporation in the 1980’s. Of course, that was after being in charge of the Ford Corporation during the Pinto fiasco.
