So I went to Play! tonight with my roommate. It rocked. Some highlights:
Koji Kondo playing one of the themes from the New Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo DS on the piano.
Percussionist Rony Barrak. He just rocked. He did an original performance of his own before contributing to the Battlefield 1942 song. He is insanely skilled.
Akira Yamaoka from the Silent Hill games absolutely rocking out on guitar for the Silent Hill 2 section. This guy is total rock star.
Sonic the Hedgehog section was great, and all from Sonic 1.
Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross. Okay…Rony Barrak again, he was doing the drums for Time’s Scar. That song…awesome…live….no words…
That’s it for now. Must sleep.

E3 yes I went

Yes I went to E3 again this year. It was awesome. I’ll get my pictures up eventually. Nintendo’s line for Wii was 5 hours long so I didn’t get to play it. I got to play other awesome games like Okami for PS2 and Loco Roco for PSP. The PS3 is expensive, and I think that covers everything. Yay for scantily clad booth babes getting fined on the last day.

FFVI Opera Scene, FFXI style

So some people in Final Fantasy XI remade the entire opera scene from Final Fantasy VI, but with Final Fantasy XI models and everything. It’s pretty good, but obviously won’t be appreciated unless you’ve played Final Fantasy VI. Anyway, here’s the link:
Also, someone linked me to an ultra cute rendition of “Everything you could do I could do better” again done with Final Fantasy XI characters. It’s quite fun and can be found here:
